Regisseur (Absolvent der Bayerischen Theaterakademie), Autor und Performer. Seine choreografisch- diskursiven Essay-Performances sind oft im Spannungsfeld von Geschichte – Nationalismus – Körper – Erinnerung angesiedelt und entstehen auf Basis ausführlicher Recherchen. Zahns Arbeiten wurden auf diversen Festivals im deutschsprachigen Raum sowie an Häusern wie z. B. PACT, Hellerau, Kaserne Basel oder Münchner Kammerspiele präsentiert und touren weltweit.

Born in 1989, studied direct ing at the Bavarian Theatre Academy. During his studies he created the performances “SITUATION MIT AUSGESTRECKTEM ARM” which earned him a nomination for best young artist in Theater Heute’s critics poll and “SITUATION MIT DOPPELGÄNGER”, which has been shown at numerous theatres and festivals in the German-speaking world and throughout Europe including the Tanzplattform Deutschland 2018. In 2016 he and Phoebe Wright-Spinks were at HAU as part of the newcomer platform of Performing Arts Festival with “[HEIMATLIED]”. Oliver Zahn is part of the collective HAUPTAKTION, which is touring internationally and coproduced by HAU. In 2017 he was invited to the Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival in Jerusalem (Israel), the festival Basler Dokumentartage 17 (Switzerland) and the festival Mad’art CARTHRAGE (Tunesian Republic). www.hauptaktion.de
