In seiner Funktion als Leiter der Open-Air-Inszenierungen für Corn Exchange Newbury verantwortet er das 101-Outdoor-Arts-Kreativzentrum, eine 2000 Quadratmeter große Lagerhalle und Künstlerresidenz für Produktionen im öffentlichen Raum. Als Mitglied in verschiedenen Kulturorganisationen blickt Simon Chatterton auf eine langjährige Erfahrung in Kooperationen 245 mit Organisationen im künstlerischen und nicht-künstlerischen Bereich zurück, um weltweit mit Künstlern neue Arbeiten zu realisieren.

For over twenty years Simon Chatterton has worked as a Festival Director and Producer, creating outdoor and site-specific arts events in the UK and internationally. His work has brought performances to audiences of over a quarter of million people in locations as diverse as town squares and city streets, Iron Age hill forts, disused railway arches and public parks and gardens. In his role as the Head of Outdoor Arts at the Corn Exchange, Newbury, Simon Chatterton is the Director of 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space, a 2000- square-metre warehouse space and major artist residency centre for the production of work in the public space. He is a highly experienced commissioner and has worked in partnership with arts and non-arts organizations to produce new work with artists and companies all over the world.
